The Split Marathon Sports Club is a proud member of the international organization Association of International Marathons and Distance Races, which confirms the compliance of the Split Marathon with the highest world standards of road race organization.

Through continuous cooperation with World Athletics and the Croatian Athletics Federation, the event is organized according to official international rules and regulations, with a special focus on the safety of competitors, the quality of the organization and the development of the racing experience.

The special international value of the Split Marathon is confirmed by the fact that it is officially included in the AbbottWMM Marathon Tours & Travel Age Group World Rankings system, one of the most prestigious world rankings for marathon runners by age category. The results achieved in Split are recognized as official qualifications at the international level.

Thanks to the certified course and high organizational standards, runners at the Split Marathon can achieve qualifying results for participation in the Olympic Games, the World Championships in Athletics and races of the prestigious World Marathon Majors series, including Boston, New York, London, Berlin, Chicago, Tokyo and Sydney.

These international recognitions confirm the quality and reputation of the Split Marathon and additionally position Split and Croatia on the world racing and sports map.
