The organizer, Split Marathon Sports Club, through many years of experience and cooperation with the world’s leading races, continuously develops the event according to the highest organizational standards. More than 500 volunteers and over 30 partners participate every year in creating an event that significantly contributes to the promotion of Split and Croatia on an international level.

HISTORY

2001.

The first Split Half Marathon was held in the Marjan Forest Park area.

2007.

The start and finish of the race are moving to Split’s Riva as part of the celebration of St. Domnius.

2015.

Presented new circular path through the city of Split and its most famous locations.

2016.

The race will be held on a new date, the last weekend of February, which will bring a significant increase in the number of participants.

2020.

For the first time, a full marathon and a relay marathon were held in addition to the traditional half marathon and accompanying races.

2021.

Due to epidemiological measures, the race was held in September.

2022. - 24.

Return to the traditional date at the end of February.

2025.

The 25th anniversary edition was held under the slogan “My Run Love Story” and the 1st edition of the Split Night Half started on Žnjan beach.

2026.

The trail returns completely within the city of Split, including the new Žnjan–Duilovo promenade, a Charity program for Associations is being organized for the first time, the beginning of a long-term collaboration with the Faculty of Kinesiology, Split.
